REBUILD SELF-TRUST. RECLAIM YOUR LIFE.

Individual therapy for adults ready to move from survival to thriving.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY FOR ADULTS IN COLORADO

When You’re Ready to Stop Surviving and Start Thriving

You’ve held it together for a long time.

You’re capable. Responsible. Insightful.

But something isn’t working anymore.

You’re tired of repeating patterns.
Tired of overthinking.
Tired of being “strong” while quietly exhausted.

And underneath it all is one honest question you might be afraid to say out loud:

Can I trust myself again?

If that question resonates, you’re in the right place.

YOU’RE NOT BROKEN. YOU ADAPTED.

▸ If you grew up in a chaotic or emotionally neglectful home…

▸ If anxiety hums in the background - overthinking, bracing, waiting for the next shoe to drop…

▸ If you’ve walked through divorce or relational rupture…

▸ If addiction or compulsive patterns entered your story…

▸ If self-doubt runs louder than your inner wisdom…

You didn’t fail.

You adapted.

Your nervous system learned how to survive.

Anxiety isn’t weakness.
It’s often a body that learned it had to stay alert to stay safe.

The problem isn’t that you have coping strategies.

The problem is when you only have one outfit in the closet — and life keeps changing seasons.

Therapy isn’t about getting rid of parts of you.

It’s about expanding your capacity so you can choose how you respond — instead of living in constant reaction.

EXPANDING YOUR WARDROBE OF COPING

Coping skills are like clothes in your wardrobe.

At one point, flip flops and shorts may have worked perfectly.

But if that’s all you own — and winter arrives — life becomes miserable.

Therapy isn’t about throwing your clothes away.

It’s about expanding the wardrobe.

Adding layers.
Adding options.
Building flexibility.

You keep the little black dress or tailored suit for special occasions —
but you don’t wear it to everything.

Empowerment comes from choice.

From knowing you can assess the weather — and choose wisely.

FROM INSTINCTUAL LIVING TO INTENTIONAL LIVING

You were born with powerful animal instincts.

To attach.
To protect.
To fight, flee, freeze, or submit when needed.

Those instincts are intelligent.

But when survival becomes your default setting, life shrinks.

Our work is about shifting from survival instinct to thriving instinct.

Not by overriding your body —
but by understanding it.

YOUR BODY IS NOT THE PROBLEM. IT’S THE PORTAL.

Through trauma-informed, body-based therapy, we explore:

  • How your nervous system responds to stress

  • How your body moves toward what it wants

  • How posture, breath, and movement influence confidence

  • How regulation creates choice

  • How to move from accidental living to intentional living

Embodied practice meets intellectual understanding.

We integrate neuroscience, attachment theory, and somatic awareness — so you don’t just understand your patterns…

You shift them.

You don’t have to stay in survival mode.

And you don’t have to do this alone.

Confidence from the Inside Out

Confidence isn’t loud.

It’s grounded self-trust.

In our work together, we build confidence from the inside out using my Confidence Model:

My Confidence Model in Therapy

  • hand placing a pin on a map

    ORIENT

fingers holding a pin and placing it on a map

  • women holding computer wearing a pink suite

    OWNERSHIP

woman wearing a pink suit looking up and holding a computer in her hand

  • group of women standing with arms crossed and smiling

    OPENNESS

women standing, smiling having arms crossed

The result?

Clarity.
Competence.
Confidence.

Not performative confidence.

The kind that stands steady without needing approval.

WHAT IT’S LKE TO WORK WITH ME

Let’s be clear.

I’m not the quiet, nodding therapist who leaves you confused and directionless. We work with clarity and intention.

I’m interactive.

I ask questions.
I reflect patterns.
I teach frameworks.
I challenge gently when needed.

We will laugh.
We will grieve.
We will keep it real.

Therapy is like scuba diving.

We don’t jump into the deepest water on day one.

We build skill. Regulation. Awareness.

As competence increases, depth becomes possible.

And I’m right there with you.

AREAS OF FOCUS

  • The roles you played. The emotions you swallowed. The hardships you faced.
The patterns you promised you wouldn’t repeat — but somehow did.

We gently unpack what shaped you so it doesn’t keep running the show.

  • Racing thoughts. Worst-case scenarios. Replaying conversations at 2am.
Looking calm on the outside while your nervous system is on high alert.

We help your body learn that it doesn’t have to live in constant bracing.

  • Conflict loops. Familiar but frustrating dynamics.
The chemistry stage feels easy — commitment and longevity surface vulnerability.

Attachment research shows these shifts are normal.

We explore how your attachment style shows up in conflict, intimacy, and repair, so you can respond with intention instead of reactivity.

Healthy relationships evolve — and growth is required at every stage.

  • Saying what you mean.
Saying “no” without spiraling into guilt.
Staying steady when conversations get uncomfortable.

We strengthen your voice and build boundaries rooted in clarity — not fear.

Yes, this is a skill. And you can learn it.

  • Emotional manipulation. Walking on eggshells.
Feeling like you lost your voice — or your sense of self.

We focus on restoring internal safety, strengthening agency, and rebuilding trust in your instincts.

  • Even when divorce is the right decision, it’s still a loss.
    Grief. Identity shifts. Rebuilding.

We focus on emotional regulation, clarity, and redefining who you are in this next chapter.

  • Shared parenting. New boundaries. Managing conflict.
Wanting to protect your children from unnecessary harm.

We work on grounded communication, emotional steadiness, and navigating complex family systems with intention.

  • Looking like you’ve got it together… while secretly feeling like you’re barely holding it together.

    Over-performing. Over-giving. Over-responsible.

We explore what’s underneath the drive and build a version of success that doesn’t cost you your nervous system.

  • Understanding the nervous system underneath the behavior.
    Moving from shame to choice.
    From autopilot to intentional living.

We strengthen internal authority so you can trust yourself again.

You don’t need to have it all figured out before you start.

Most adults I work with say some version of:
“I’m functioning… but something isn’t working.”

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

Here are some of the common themes we explore:

You don’t have to fit perfectly into one of these boxes.

If you’re sick of repeating patterns and ready to feel different in your own life, that’s enough.

THE GOAL

No endless processing.
No dependency.
No confusion.

The goal is this:

You trust yourself.

You regulate your emotions.
You set boundaries with clarity.
You move through life with grace, compassion, and courage.

More empowerment.
More confidence.
More joy.

Doing Your Own Work and Want to Bring It Into Your Relationship?

Individual therapy builds clarity, self-trust, and emotional regulation.

And sometimes, as you grow, you realize you want your partner involved in that growth too.

If you’re exploring boundaries, communication patterns, or attachment dynamics in individual counseling — Beyond Words workshops offer a guided, interactive way to bring that awareness into your relationship.

These Colorado couples workshops provide a structured, experiential space to:

  • Practice new communication skills

  • Understand nervous system responses in real time

  • Strengthen connection in a supportive environment

  • Integrate what you’re learning individually into shared growth

It’s not therapy.
It’s relationship development — in motion.

For some clients, individual therapy and workshops complement each other beautifully.

Your Questions, Answered

  • You don’t need a perfect explanation for why you’re here.

If something feels off — and you’re ready to stop blaming circumstances and start creating change — therapy might be for you.

    Willingness matters more than perfection.

  • The first few sessions are about getting me up to speed: what you already know, what’s working, and where growth is needed.

You bring insight. I help connect the dots and create direction. We build clarity and momentum early on.

  • We usually begin weekly to create rhythm and progress. As skills solidify, we move to biweekly, then monthly.

Therapy is structured to build independence, not reliance.

  • That depends on your goals and how actively you engage in the process.

Some clients work short-term around a specific transition or issue. Others choose longer-term work to deeply shift patterns rooted in early attachment, trauma, or relational dynamics.

Therapy isn’t just about showing up to sessions, it’s about participating in the work between sessions, practicing new skills, and applying insights in real life.

We will regularly revisit your goals so therapy feels intentional, aligned, and growth-oriented.

  • My work integrates somatic therapy, trauma-informed therapy, parts work, and attachment-based approaches for adults seeking deeper healing and lasting change.

I draw from several evidence-based and body-centered models, including:

    Somatic & Body-Based Therapy
A therapeutic approach that recognizes the body as central to emotional healing. We pay attention to breath, posture, tension patterns, and movement to shift stress and trauma stored in the nervous system. Change isn’t just talked about — it’s experienced.

    Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT)
As defined by the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA), dance/movement therapy is the psychotherapeutic use of movement to promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration. In practice, this may include subtle shifts in posture, gesture, or breath — not performance — helping access and reorganize experiences held in the body.

Polyvagal Theory & Nervous System Regulation
Understanding how your nervous system responds to stress, anxiety, and safety. We focus on regulation so your body feels safer, not just your thoughts.

    Adult Attachment Theory
Exploring how early relational experiences shape adult relationships, communication patterns, and emotional safety.

    Parts Work (Internal Family Systems–Informed)
We explore the different “parts” of you — the anxious part, the protective part, the driven part — with curiosity rather than judgment. Instead of eliminating parts, we help them update their roles so you feel more integrated and internally aligned.

    Emotionally Focused-Informed Therapy (EFT)
An attachment-based approach that helps identify core emotional needs and shift negative relationship cycles.

    Gottman-Informed Therapy
Research-backed tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen long-term relationships.

    Psychodynamic & Insight-Oriented Therapy
Understanding how past experiences and unconscious patterns continue to shape present behaviors and identity.

    Mindfulness-Based Practices
Developing present-moment awareness to reduce anxiety, overthinking, and emotional reactivity.

    DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
Practical skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, boundary-setting, and communication.

    Systems Theory
Recognizing that you don’t exist in isolation. Family systems, cultural context, and social environments influence mental health and relational patterns.

You don’t need to know the theory.

My role is to integrate these therapeutic approaches in a way that feels grounded, practical, and personalized to your goals.

  • I hold a Master’s degree in Somatic Psychology and have been working in the mental health field for over 20 years. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) serving adults in Colorado, a Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT), and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).

My training integrates somatic therapy, trauma-informed therapy, attachment-based therapy, and neuroscience-informed approaches to support adults navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma recovery, and identity growth.

In addition to clinical work, I provide supervision and consultation to mental health professionals and leadership teams, supporting the standard of excellence in mental health practice across Colorado and beyond.

With two decades of experience and advanced training in body-based psychotherapy, I specialize in helping clients move from survival patterns toward clarity, competence, and lasting self-trust.

  • I offer virtual sessions only.

Meeting online allows you to choose a space where you feel most comfortable—whether that’s your living room, office, or another private spot that feels steady and supportive. There’s no travel time, traffic, or parking stress—just intentional space focused on your work.

  • Yes. I accept Kaiser insurance.

If you have out-of-network (OON) benefits with another plan, I use Thrizer to help simplify reimbursement. This allows you to use your OON benefits without managing the paperwork yourself.

Working with insurance can sometimes require a mental health diagnosis for coverage. If privacy and flexibility are important to you, self-pay may also be an option.

I recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your specific coverage and out-of-network benefits. We’ll review everything together during your consultation so you feel clear before beginning.

  • Therapy is an investment in your future self.

Not just financially, but emotionally, relationally, and in the quality of the life you build.

When you begin to experience a return - more clarity, steadier emotions, healthier relationships, stronger boundaries — growth builds momentum. Many people choose to reinvest because they can feel the difference in how they move through their lives.

Practically speaking, here’s how that works:

    I accept Kaiser insurance.

If you have out-of-network (OON) benefits, I use Thrizer to simplify reimbursement so you’re not managing paperwork on your own.

My self-pay rate is $195 per 53-minute session. You’ll receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of services, as required under the No Surprises Act.

We can talk openly about cost — it shouldn’t feel awkward here. During the consultation, we’ll review your options so you feel informed and comfortable moving forward.

Payment is due at the time of service. I accept major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards.

  • Ready to move forward?

Click Begin the Process below and complete the pre-screen form. After reviewing it, I’ll reach out to schedule your consultation.

You’ll hear back within 1–2 business days.
